Happy thanksgiving my friends!!!!!!! I have been so overwhelmingly thankful for my life lately that Thanksgiving is coming at a perfect time. So many days recently I’ve been sitting and reflecting and can’t believe how thankful for everything in my life right now. My life has changed a lot since last year’s Thanksgiving post but all of it is still true.
At the beginning of this year I couldn’t have even imagined how this year would turn out (this is starting to sound like a sentimental New Years post so I’m going to save that for next month haha) but I’m so thankful for every second of it. Charleston has never felt more like home to me and I’m so thankful for the community of people I have here. Charleston has given me so many opportunities I could never have expected and I love waking up to every new day here. This city has truly shaped me into the person I am today and I am so blessed to be here.
I’m thankful for job opportunities in the fields I’ve dreamed of working in – music and photography and social media – ever since I can remember!! I’ve gotten to do a ton of pretty cool things recently and I’m thankful I get to wake up and be creative everyday and do things I truly love to do. I’m thankful for my family and my friends being the best support system I could ever ask for through all of it.I’m thankful for so many opportunities to travel – just this week I was in Raleigh and Nashville and Dallas and Austin with some of my best friends seeing some of the best shows I’ve seen before.
I’m thankful for every day I wake up under the sun. I’m thankful to be physically and mentally happy and healthy. This year I feel like I’ve really grown as a person and am continuing to grow into the person I’ve wanted to become (another topic I’ll just save for a New Years post..). Even if you aren’t a big Thanksgiving-type person, or feel like you’re in a place where you don’t have much to be thankful for – you do. I urge you to just sit and reflect . Around the holidays, so many of us can fall into the “things can always be better” mentality but it’s important to remember that things can always be worse. You have so much going for you and so much to be thankful for!
