Excited to finally be getting started with the holiday blog posts!!
I love Christmastime in Charleston. Every little house has a wreath on it, King Street is filled with shoppers, + the (still warm and humid) air has a little sense of magic in it. I love dressing up and walking around downtown for the holidays. This is such a fun time to wear clothes you normally wouldn’t (hellooooo sparkles).
You’ve probably noticed by now that I prefer to dress in all black. Or at least neutrals. THEN I saw this red dress and fell in love. I had no event to wear it to yet (or no idea if I could wear bright red) but I thought it’d be perfect for a cocktail party, dinner party – even going out.
I wore this to a party (and then keeping it real, didn’t have time to change and wore it to a concert (at a dive bar. lol)) and everyone I know kept commenting in shock that it wasn’t black. I don’t know if it was the glass(es) of holiday punch, christmas spirit, or just a rush of dressing in something bold and unlike me but I felt so ~confident~ and full of holiday cheer.
