Today is world suicide prevention day. One thing I am super passionate about that I want to start incorporating into my blog more is mental health + I figured this was a good time to start writing more about it! I’m working on a natural ways to improve mental health post that I’m stoked about so look out for that soon.
I have always been passionate about speaking out about mental health. I know what it’s like to feel alone, and I never want anyone to have to feel like that. I promise, you are NEVER alone. A few years ago I would have loved for someone, anyone, to remind me of these things – so that is what I’m trying to do for whoever is reading this.
It’s so important to speak out about our mental health and break down the stigma surrounding it. Each year we lose 800,000+ people to suicide. If you aren’t struggling with suicide, someone you know is. Educate yourself. A few of my favorite resources are Hope For The Day , To Write Love On Her Arms, and Heart Support.
You are SO loved and SO important to this world. You matter. You are going to do great things and I promise you, there is hope and healing at the end of the tunnel.
It can be scary to reach out but the sooner we all start talking about mental health, the sooner we realize we are all in this together. Everyone, on some level, has felt the same things you have.
